Bitter Gourd Slices
Recipe Ingredients:
2 tsp oil, 1 tsp chopped garlic
2 tsp chopped red bell pepper
2 cup sliced bitter gourd
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste, coriander leaves
Method:
Heat the oil in the pan.
Add chopped garlic, chopped red bell pepper.
Mix it properly.
Add slice bitter gourd, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
Sprinkle coriander leaves.
Serve hot with chappati

Bitter gourd often called bitter melon, or bitter squash in English, has many other local names sucha as karavella from Sanskrit.
The vegetable is very low in calories. Its pods are rich in phytonutrients like dietary fiber, minerals, vitamins and anti-oxidants. Fresh bitter melon is an excellent source of vitamin-C.
